PM Oli directs Law Minister's resignation

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sher Bahadur Tamang to submit his resignation in response to his controversial comment regarding Nepali girls pursuing MBBS degree in Bangladesh.

The Law Minister is addressing a press conference today at 2:00 pm regarding this issue, according to PM's press coordinator Ram Sharan Bajgain.

Earlier, Minister Tamang had said that Nepali girls, who have gone to Bangladesh to study MBBS, have to ‘sell themselves’ in order to receive their certificates. This comment attracted wide public attention and criticism.
