Police helping transport commuters

KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Police Office has been giving lift to hundreds of commuters, who have been hit hard due to reduced public transport availability as a result of deepening fuel shortage. According to the MPO, the police have been operating two pickup trucks (Ba1 Ga 2192 and Ba1 Ga 2484) on Ratna Park-Koteshwor and Ratna Park-Maharajgunj routes from 8:00 to 11:00 am and 4 to 6.30 pm to ferry commuters. Officials said it is a free service.
