Police warn against "immoral" posts on social media
KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on Friday requested members of the public not to publish any "immoral" post on social media sites.
Any post against social morality and courteous behaviours or which promotes hatred among the people of various castes and culture and jeopardises communal harmony is to be avoided, it added.
Police also warned that anyone found doing so would be fined Rs 100,000 or sentenced to five years in jail or both according to Section 47 of the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008.
