Policy and programme can't be implemented: Nepali Congress
KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress commented that the policy and programme announced today for the next fiscal was unlikely to be implemented as the government itself might not last longer.
Emerging from the Parliament hall, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba dubbed the incumbent government "temporary" and said, "Implementation of the programme launched by the temporary government is not possible."
"While the budget spending capacity is decreasing," he added, "This policy and programme is beyond implementation."
Likewise, another NC leader Prakash Sharan Mahat also commented that the policy and programme was too ambitious to implement.
The ruling parties wanted to create various mechanisms to let their cadres enjoy state benefits as they could not function properly in the present circumstances, he added.
