KATHMANDU: Chairman of the main opposition party Unified CPN-Maoist, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', today said his party was fully prepared for the third people's movement and urged all Nepalis to be prepared to take incomplete revolution to a logical conclusion.
He was addressing a function to exchange greetings on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1130 and tea reception at Naya Bazaar organised by the UCPN-Maoist's area committee of Kathmandu Constituency No 7.
Prachanda said no foreign power could meddle into the internal affairs of Nepal. Nepalis can decide their own fate, he added.
He said nominating Madhav Nepal as a member of constituent assembly was a mistake his party made. He claimed that those who had favoured imposition of emergency during the royal regime have now become ministers.
He feared that since all the positive decisions taken by the Maoist-led government had been annulled, the decision to recognise Nepal Sambat could also be revoked. He said Nepal Sambat was co-related with right to selfdetermination and the fight for Nepal Sambat was connected to the Maoist movement, too.
He alleged that that the government was preparing to use the issue of federalism as a device to lead the nation towards civil war. "The ministers of this puppet government have begun to speak against Comprehensive Peace Agreement."
Maoist standing committee member Barsha Man Pun said President had been used to speak against federalism. He added that those rejected by the people have been claiming that they would stop salary to CA members, who were duly elected by the people.
