Kathmandu, April 13

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari today met women leaders and discussed with them the constitutional provision regarding women’s representation in elections.

On the occasion, the president said the constitutional provision regarding women’s representation in the local level elections was a great achievement.

Women representatives from Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Centre, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party, Federal Socialist Party, among others, drew the president’s attention towards practical difficulties in implementing the provision.
