President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has called on all human beings to assimilate the ideologies of peace, non-violence, compassion, goodwill and friendship propounded and promoted by Lord Budhha.

Concluding the 45th Lama guru (Lama teacher) study tour organised by the Buddhist Philosophy Promotion and Monastery Management Committee and the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development at the President’s Office in Shital Niwas today, the president also stressed on promoting ideologies and teachings of Lord Budhha.

Stating that the government had adopted a policy of protecting and promoting cultural diversity, the president also pledged to take initiatives for the establishment of a central monastery.

On the occasion, President Bhandari handed over certificates to participants of the study visit.

Lama gurus from over 30 districts of the country had visited monasteries in Nepal and India in course of their nine-day study tour.
