KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 12
President Ram Chandra Paudel will offer tika to the general public today on the occasion of Bada Dashain.
The ceremony will take place at his official residence, Shital Niwas, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, as announced by the President's Office.
Before this, from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, President Paudel is scheduled to offer tika and jamara to VVIPs and VIPs, including lawmakers, deputy prime ministers, provincial chiefs, ministers, justices, and officials from various constitutional bodies. Personnel from the Nepali Army and Nepal Police will also receive tika during this time.
In a personal tradition, the President received tika and blessings from his 94-year-old elder brother, Dundiraj Paudel, earlier in the day, marking the auspicious occasion of Bijaya Dashami.
The President's Office further noted that he will also receive tika from his guru, following traditional customs.
