President visits Kathmandu temples on Maha Ashtami

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday visited various temples of goddesses in Kathmandu Valley on the occasion of Maha Ashtami festival.

On the eighth day of Nepal's greatest and longest festival today, the Head of the State had reached temples of Naxal Bhagawati, Maitidevi, Kalikasthan, Bhadrakali, Sankata and Naradevi.

The President also received Tika and Prasad from the priests at respective shrines.

Bhandari was accompanied by her two daughters.

Meanwhile, devotees thronged various temples of goddesses across the nation on the occasion today.
