Kathmandu, January 25

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba have extended congratulations to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice-president M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the 69th Republic Day of India.

President Bhandari, Vice-president Pun and Prime Minister Deuba sent separate messages of congratulations to their Indian counterparts, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

In their messages, President Bhandari, Vice-president Pun and Prime Minister Deuba extended their best wishes for good health and happiness of their Indian counterparts as well as for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of India.

They also expressed confidence that the bilateral ties between Nepal and India would consolidate further in the days ahead, read the statement.

India celebrates the Republic Day every year on January 26.
