Prez urges for consensus

KATHAMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav stressed on Friday that the parties should be united to draft the new constitution in the given time frame. The President made the statement at his office Shital Niwas in Maharajgunj at a meeting with CPN UML leaders.

Yadav said that the main need of the hour is to draft the new statute in the stipulated time frame to unite the nation. He assured that he will play a pivotal role and urged the parties' leaders for the same.

After the meeting with the President, UML leader Parshu Ram Meghi Gurung informed that the President will attend their tea reception which is slated for Sunday for the occasion of the Dashain festival.
