A group of five unidentified persons on Saturday night looted property worth Rs 50,000 from the house of Shree Ram Aryal at Manamaiju-2 in Kathmandu, police said on Sunday. According to the police, the armed group identified themselves as Aryal’s relatives and asked his family members to open the door. “When one of the members of the Aryal family opened the door, they overpowered everyone at the house and took

away Rs 10,000 in cash, two toals of gold and two mobile phone sets,” the police said. Also on Saturday, police arrested one Kumar Lama, 21, of Solukhumbu, when he was fleeing after looting the house of one Bijay Basukala at Jhaukhel in Bhaktapur.
