KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 4.5 million was gutted after a sweet shop in Naya Bazaar of KMC-16 caught fire on Saturday.

The property was destroyed when the shop belonging to Janak Gamal of Chitlang,  Makwanpur caught fire that was induced by a gas stove, informed police.

The fire was doused by police with the help of locals and fire brigade.

Police are investigating into the case.
