KATHMANDU: Temporary Teachers' Struggle Committee has decided to boycott the Teachers' Service Commission (TSC) exam scheduled for August 19.

According to Committee Vice Chairman Jaya Narayan Dhakal, the members who filled up the exam forms decided to boycott the exam as per the decision made by the Central Agitation Committee until their demands were addressed.

The agitation of temporary teachers was focused on piling up pressure on the government to reschedule the exam date as per the bilateral agreement reached on June 23.

Besides, the Committee has warned to padlock the exam centres if the government continues to ignore their demands.

Two of the agitators, who are on a strike at Bhadrakali in the Capital since August 2, have been admitted to a hospital after their health condition deteriorated.
