Proven guilty, king won’t be spared: Minister
Kathmandu, November 28:
If proven guilty of suppressing the Jana Andolan II, the government will let no one escape punishment. Not even the king, Minister for Agriculture and Cooperation Mahantha Thakur said today.
He said this while addressing a programme at the Reporters’ Club. The government yesterday formed a panel to study the report on suppression of the Jana Andolan II, submitted by the HIgh-Level Commission.
The minister also said that the peace process was heading towards its goals. Although it has not been able to meet the deadlines, it is heading positively, he said.
“It seems that newer developments in the peace process are taking time but I do not see any conspiracy behind it and nobody can even think of disturbing it now,” he said.
