Pump staffers accuse cop of misbehaviour

Kathmandu, April 13:

The Manager of Gayatridevi Petrol Pump at Ekantakuna today accused a police official of misbehaviour at his petrol pump last night. Ballu Mishra said sub-inspector of police Bamdev Gautam, who was drunk, mistreated his employees on duty and damaged the glasses of the office. Gautam reportedly tried to break the cash-drawer and threatened the staffers of dire consequences if they intervened.

Mishra said that the police beat was funded by the petrol pump for the security of the pump. "But the police stationed at the same beat caused damages to us." Mishra also accused the other police personnel of disturbing them in the nights for months. Gautam is said to be working in the computer section of the district police office, Lalitpur. Bhakta Bahadur Bista, inspector at the Lalitpur sub-branch of the Valley Crime Investigation Branch, said that the allegations were fabricated.
