Dahal says govt, his party attacked from 'all quarters'

KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Centre Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has urged the party cadres to defend the government and party, which, he said, were being attacked from all quarters.

At a training programme organised by the All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary here on Wednesday, PM Dahal expressed worry over the "premeditated attack" against the party through the social media.

"We are now being attacked through the social media as well as through some traditional media. So, students should play a role in defending the good deeds carried out by the party and government," he said.

Responding to a query of cadres on the occasion, the Maoist boss shared that the government had launched a campaign for poverty alleviation.

Similarly, Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that reunion and transformation were necessary in the party while another leader Ram Bahadur Thapa pointed out the need of a new Communist party in the country.

Likewise, ANNISU-Revolutionary Narendra Neupane said that the organisation would raise political and educational issues together.
