Paudel tells Deuba to consult party before vital decisions

KATHMANDU: Some Nepali Congress leaders including senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel met party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and urged him to take important decisions only after holding discussions on the issues in the party's Central Working Committee.

Puadel, Treasurer Sita Devi Yadav, former General Secretary Prakash Man Singh and leader Ram Sharan Mahat had reached Deuba residence in Budhanilakantha today to extend their suggestions to the party leader.

Of late, Deuba has come under fire within his party for striking a seven-point deal with CPN Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on power sharing in the governments till the next parliamentary elections to be held after one and half years.

Deuba had at first signed the agreement and informed the party CWC a day after the deal.

The issues discussed during the meeting also included a no-trust motion against the incumbent government registered before the Parliament following the withdrawal of the main coalition partner, Maoist Centre, from the government, said leader Mahat.

The leaders also suggested Deuba to give a full shape to the party CWC and form its departments.
