Ramdev to begin Yoga class from today

Kathmandu, September 21:

Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev arrived here today and said he was here with a single mission to teach people about healthy life, longevity and self-empowerment through Yoga.

“At a time when Nepalis are fighting for freedom, health of those fighters becomes vital which can be achieved through Yoga,” he said upon his arrival at the TIA airport.

He said he was advised by his close aides not to visit Nepal considering the present situation. “My mission is to give people peace of mind and teach them to be more tolerant and live a healthy life,” he said adding, “It was time for me to meet hundreds of Nepalis people who practice Yoga.”

Highlighting the importance of Yoga, Ramdev said that the violence and criminal tendency of human being could be pacified through Yoga. “These are not merely claims, they are also proven,” he said.

He will be conducting Yoga classes at the Open Air Theatre for five days beginning tomorrow morning.

He said that preparation is being made for setting up Patanjali Yoga Centre in Kathmandu, the announcement of which will be made at the end of the Yoga camp. “I hope the centre will be beneficial for those who can not afford to go to Haridwar,” he said.

The preparation for bringing Ramdev here started in June, when Patanjali Yoga Sammittee, Haridwar taught Yoga techniques to 200 people.
