KATHMANDU: Bal Gopaleswor Temple of Rani Pokhari will remain open on Tuesday for the general public.

Earlier, the temple used to remain open only on Bhai Tika, the main day of Tihar once a year.

As per the rule it had already been opened on Monday as other communities celebrate Bhai Tika on Monday. This time the Newars are celebrating Tika on Tuesday and therefore the temple is going to remain open for them on Tuesday as well.

It has been a tradition for those who don’t have brothers and sisters to visit the temple to apply Tika.
