Relief quota teachers withdraw agitation

KATHMANDU: The ongoing protest of teachers working in relief quota has been withdrawn following an agreement with the government.

A three-point agreement has been signed in the presence of secretary at the Ministry of Education Khagraj Baral and Nepal Teachers Association chairman Baburam Thapa.

Nepal Relief Teachers Central Struggle Committee chairman Khemraj Adhikari shared that they agreed to stop the protest as they reached the conclusion of removing the age bar for the relief quota teachers to contest for a permanent position at one time, among others.
