Resolve row over Prez move: Dev Gurung

POKHARA: Minister for Law, Justice and Constituent Assembly Affairs Dev Gurung on Thursday said the government cannot be formed without settling the row over the President's move.

Talking to mediapersons here, Gurung said the President's move was unconstitutional.

"Attempts were made to politicise the judiciary over the President's move. The issue should be settled in and through the parliament," he said.

"The court has been moved on the issue," added Gurung.

"Did the court correct the coups exercised by Kings Mahendra and Gyanendra?" he questioned, reiterating that Unified CPN-Maoist would not let any party form the government until the President's move was corrected.

"A government formed outside the parliament will not be legitimate," he said. Asked about the re-verification demand of the People’s Liberation Army fighters, law minister Gurung said, "It is impossible since the United Nation’s Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) has already verified 19,000 fighters."
