Results of Grade XI partial results published

Bhaktapur, December 6

The Office of the Controller of Examinations under the National Examination Board today published the result of Grade XI partial examinations.

This is the first time the OCE published the result of partial examinations before the results of Grade XI regular examinations.

According to OCE, a total of 369,426 examinees (regular and partial) had appeared in the Grade XI board examinations held from June 16 to 26 across the country this year. Of them, 107,995 were partial examinees and 42,799 (39.63 per cent) passed. A total of 34.65 per cent examinees passed Grade XI board exams last year.

Santosh Aryal, acting examination controller, OCE, said the office had published the result of only partial examinees so that students who have already passed Grade XII examinations could enroll in university.

“Earlier, results were announced in January/February although most universities and colleges close admissions by mid-December. So students had to wait for an entire year to enrol in the bachelor’s level,” he added.

He further said they had planned to announce the result of regular and partial exams separately.

“The regular examinees of Grade XI need not panic as their studies won’t be affected even if the results are announced after a month,” he added.
