RJP protests govt’s plan

Kathmandu, July 1:

The Rashtriya Janashakti Party (RJP) on Sunday protested against the government’s attempts to form local bodies, saying that it would affect the scheduled constituent assembly elections, a press release issued here on Sunday said.

The RJP said the party held its central committee meeting and asked the government to form an all-party mechanism to ensure representation of all the political parties. The party also asked the government to punish the Rayamajhi Commission-indicted persons after court proves them guilty, the statement stated. The meeting criticised the activities of YCL and asked the government to motivate the security agencies.
