KATHMANDU: After witnessing pathetic conditions of Chabahil-Sankhu and Kalanki-Naghdhunga road section, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth has stressed to expedite road maintenance projects.

Leader Mahaseth said, "Chabahil-Sankhu road section will be repaired within this month."

Minister Mahaseth along with others Members of House of Representatives from Kathmandu constituency-3, Krishna Rai, Sarita Neupane, Provincial Assembly members Rameshwor Phunyal and Maniram Phunyal, Road Division Office Chief, former PM Madhav Kumar Nepal has inspected the Kalanki-Naghdhunga and Chahabil-Sankhu road section today.

On the occasion, the team expressed commitment to promptly carry out repair and maintenance of the road sections.

The locals of Chabahil-Sankhu road section have been obstructing road maintenance projects in an organised manner citing unsatisfactory compensations

Meanwhile, the team has assured them of addressing their genuine demands.

Earlier, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had directed the concerned authorities to carry out road maintenance projects in the valley.
