Road to Nagarkot in sorry state

BHAKTAPUR: The Kamalbinayak-Chareli-Nagarkot road – an alternative road to go to Bhaktapur's touristic area Nagarkot – now has turned to be in decrepit condition within one year of its construction.

The road which was constructed by the Rural Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project with the funding of the Asian Development Bank and the United Kingdom's DFID came across the deterioration in a short of time.

The road section was constructed at the cost of around Rs 60 million.

There are several cracks and potholes on the Kamalbinayak-Nagarkot road, which is 11.5 kilometre long, said Damodar Dangal, a local.
