Roads being built in Kirtipur

The Kirtipur municipality has executed various development works in the city. Recently, the municipality black-topped the road in wards 12, 7 and 8 at a cost of three million rupees, mayor Shishir Dhital said. The road joining Nepal Pandhero with the Aadinath temple has also been gravelled. "The municipality is executing development works in ward numbers 1, 3, 13, 14 and 19." Mismanagement of drains is another problem dogging the city.

"Drains are being repaired with the assistance of the Local Development Ministry and the internal municipality fund," said secretary Devi Prasad Nepal, adding that the maintenance of drains had been completed in ward numbers 1 and 3. The maintenance of drains and sewers in ward numbers 13 and 14 is under way.
