Rotarians to institute award on centennial

Rotary clubs of Nepal are organising a South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC)-level centennial Rotary youth leadership award to mark the centennial celebration of the Rotary movement. A six-day residential intensive training programme is slated to be held at Budhanilkantha school, from May 7 to 12. A total of 200 participants from SAARC countries are expected to attend the programme meant for young leaders, according to a press release issued by Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA). The participants, ranging from 14 to 16 years, will be trained in leadership development, Rotary awareness, effective public speaking, effective communication, family and ethical values, art of living, positive thinking and international relations. The theme of this year’s RYLA is “youth for world peace”.
