Rs 14 mln allocated for treatment of Madhes violence injured

KATHMANDU: The government on Thursday decided to allocate Rs 1.4 million for people injured in anti-Constitution protests since last year.

A Cabinet meeting held this afternoon made a decision to this effect, the government spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki informed.

The meeting appointed Kamini Rajbhandari to the vacant position of Managing Director of Nepal Telecom. She was working as a Senior Deputy Manager at the company.

The Cabinet decided to complete rehabilitation of freed haliyas within coming two years.

According to Karki, the meeting decided to provide Rs 500,000 financial support to Mira Rai, an ultra-marathon runner, from Morang district.

The Cabinet decided to establish government attorney offices at all newly established high courts.

The meeting also transferred two AIGs of Armed Police Force.
