SP-N leader Hisila Yami to be discharged from hospital today

KATHMANDU: Samajwadi Party-Nepal (SP-N) leader Hisila Yami, who is receiving treatment at a hospital after sustaining injury in a road accident, will be discharged today.

Yami was injured as a motorcycle rammed the scooter she was riding pillion, near Gwarko, Lalitpur. She was admitted to nearby B & B Hospital Pvt Ltd.

According to staff nurse Mila Shahi at General Surgery and Urology Department in the hospital, leader Yami will be discharged after 3:00 pm today.

Although she bore no marks of injury on her body, doctors presumed she had sustained injuries to her head. According to Deputy Chief at publicity department of SP-N, Bishwodeep Pandey, Yami was taken in for 24-hour observation at the hospital, after which doctors found her in normal state.

Pandey said that the scooter driver, who is an assistant to Yami, was discharged after check-up yesterday. Likewise, the motorcyclist involved in the road accident was let loose after police carried out inquiry yesterday.

SP-N Co-chair Baburam Bhattarai, husband of Yami, on Sunday night posted their photo on Facebook in which the couple are seen dancing. He wrote, "Wish you speedy recovery, buddy!"
