Saudi Arabia returnee duped of cash
KATHMANDU: A Saudi Arabia returnee was duped into paying Rs 100,000 to three alleged fraudsters for what the latter claimed exchange of Saudi Riyals, police said.
The unidentified trio approached the 36-year-old Padam Subedi, who had just landed in Kathmandu from the Gulf nation, claiming they would exchange his Riyals at a higher exchange rate, but made off with the cash today, police said.
The incident occurred at Samakhusi Chok, KMC-29, according to police.
Subedi was a permanent resident of Shantinagar in Ilam district.
While looking for the suspects, police are investigating into the case.
