SC extends stay order on hostel

Kathmandu, May 24:

The Supreme Court today extended the stay order issued on May 13 directing the government

authorities including the Tindhara Sanskrit Hostel not to admit new students until its verdict.

Following today’s hearing, a division bench of justices Khil Raj Regmi and Rajendra Kumar Bhandari decided to continue its previous stay order. The SC also told the authorities — the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Home Ministry and the Police Headquarters, the Mahendra Sanskrit University, Dang, its Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the Balmiki Bidhayapeeth, and the Tindhara Sanskrit Hostel Management Committee — to furnish explanation within seven days.
