Scholarships for 415 girls
Lalitpur, May 27 :
Association of St Mary’s Alumnae Nepal (ASMAN) today gave away education material and sponsored scholarships to 415 girls of the Mary Ward School in Lubhoo and Jhamsikhel.
Kamal Pradhan, executive member of the ASMAN, said, “Nepali sponsors, expatriate Nepalis, foreign donors, Nabil Bank and Nepal Lever have sponsored the girls’ education for a year.”
Every selected girl is given education material required for one academic session and Rs 2,500.
The ASMAN is also thinking about reopening the St Mary’s School in Gorkha, which was closed due to the conflict in the country, said Pradhan.
