Security beefed up for constitution commencement ceremony
KATHMANDU: The government has beefed up security on the eve of constitution promulgation.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of Home Affairs Laxmi Prasad Dhakal said that the government has order all four security bodies--Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department—to stay in high alert.
The government has kept the security bodies in high alert by realising possible security threats, Dhakal said.
He added that the government has arranged the security management during a candle lighting programme as well.
Special security arrangement in CA
Meanwhile, special security arrangement has been arranged inside the Constituent Assembly (CA) and its premises as well, said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Narayan Khadka, spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari. Special entrance pass has been issued for tomorrow's ceremony.
