KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday said they arrested a security guard for stealing money by using other people's debit cards in Kathmandu.

Sun Maya Tamang (23) of Chaturale-4 in Nuwakot, a resident of Mhepi, was nabbed by police.

A team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Baneshwor, arrested Tamang after receiving complaints of thefts on several occasions. She had managed to use others’ ATM cards to withdraw a total of Rs 54,000.

Tamang was working at the Baneshwor-based Nabil Bank ATM booth.

Investigation into the case is underway, police informed.
