SFNNTE’s protest plan

KATHMANDU: The talks between the government and the Supreme Federation of Nepal National Transport Entrepreneur (SFNNTE) ended inconclusively on Friday. Ram Kumar Blon, coordinator of ad-hoc struggle committee said that the protests would continue against the decision of the government. “We’re organising a gherao at the Department of Transport Management during office hour,” he said. The Federation has also announced a Valley bandh on November 5, and will hold a candle-light vigil on Sunday. The SFNNTE has been organising protest programme against the decision of the government to phase-out cooking gas-run Tempo. The Federation has demanded that the government offered jobs to all those who could lose their profession in the wake of the phase-out plan.
