Shashanka Koirala to be discharged after two days
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Shashanka Koirala would be discharged from the Om Hospital after two days, according to a doctor involved in his treatment.
Dr Harish Joshi told Rastriya Samachar Samiti Koirala, who suffered from aspiration pneumonia that led to septic shock and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, is gradually recuperating and would be discharged after the ongoing drug regimen concludes.
His health condition is good at present, Dr Joshi said. Koirala is kept at the hospital for observation as the regimen of intravenous medication is yet to be over, RSS quoted Joshi as saying.
The 58-year-old medical turned politician was kept on advanced life support for some days in a very critical situation.
Koirala has already started eating food by himself and his vitals are normal.
