Sher Bahadur Deuba calls first CWC meet for Friday

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday called the Central Working Committee meeting of the party for Friday.

According to party central office's chief secretary Rishikesh Tiwari, the first meeting after election of the new CWC would be held at the party headquarters in Sanepa at 2 pm tomorrow.

On Wednesday, Deuba had assumed the office after being elected to the top post of the party on March 7.

Total 64 office bearers and members of the CWC were elected by the 13th national general convention of the party while Deuba had nominated seven more in the powerful committee yesterday.

He is still required to nominate 14 more members in order to give full shape to the 85-member Committee as per the party statute.
