Shrestha removed from think tank of Civil Aviation
KATHMANDU: Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has removed Hari Bhakta Shrestha from the think tank group of Civil Aviation of Nepal.
The Ministry took a decision to this effect reacting to the news about Shrestha's nomination for the post in the think tank, according to a statement issued by the Ministry's Spokesperson Ghana Shyam Upadhyay on Sunday.
"Such news about Shrestha's nomination drew the attention of the Ministry. Today's minister-level meeting took the decision to this effect," reads the statement. Shrestha was appointed as an expert in Air Traffic Management (ATM) and air law.
Following Shrestha's appointment, criticisms made the rounds referring his involvement in Lauda Air scam.
The think tank was established on April 8 with an aim to provide ideas and advice on civil aviation.
