Singaporean man smuggles in 3.5 kg gold, gets caught
KATHMANDU: Nepal Police said security personnel at the Tribhuvan International Airport arrested a Singaporean man in possession of 3.5 kg gold.
Boarding a Malindo Air flight from Singapore, the alleged gold smuggler had landed in Kathmandu on Tuesday night.
It has been learned that he had hidden gold biscuits in instruments like microwave and amplifier. The TIA's security system, however, detected the yellow metal and subsequently arrested the man.
