KATHMANDU: A team of Metropolitan Crime Division nabbed six people on charge of smuggling and trading on a rare tortoise from Lalitpur district on Monday. According to police, they were holding a meeting to crack a deal on the rare reptile when security personnel raided the house. Acting on a tip-off, police got hold of Sanu Bhai Bajracharya (49) of Patan Dhoka, Sushil Duwal Shrestha (60) of Lubhu, Bhim Prasad Timilsina (38) of Kavre, Indra Bahadur Dawadi (50) of Kavre, Upendra Prasad Timilsina (42) of Kavre and Sheikh Rahis (42) of Rautahat from Bajracharya's house in Patan Dhoka yesterday. All six of them have been handed over to the District Forest Office, Hatiban, Lalitpur for further action.
