KATHMANDU: Speaker Onsari Gharti on Tuesday formed a nine-member sub-committee for the selection of proposals to be presented before the House.

After holding a meeting with the chief whips of parties today, the Speaker formed the panel with Meen Bahadur Bishwakarma and Ram Krishna Yadav from Nepali Congress, Gokul Gharti and Rabindra Adhikari from CPN-UML, Seeta Nepali from CPN Maoist Centre, Kunti Kumari Shahi from Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal, Dil Bahadur Nepali from Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Geeta Rana from Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic and Rajyalaxmi Shrestha of Rastriya Prajatantra Party.

The panel would hold discussion on proposals registered by lawmakers and make recommendation to the Speaker

on whether to move forward and when to present them before the House meeting.
