Statute implementation will help end untouchabity: Minister Pandey
Kathmandu, January 23
Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Hitraj Pandey today said that the problem of untouchabilty would end with the implementation of the constitution.
In a programme organised by theĀ Badi Community Upliftment and Development Committee here today, Minister Pandey said the constitution has ensured the rights for Dalit communities therefore it should be implemented strongly.
He stressed on the importance of education to bring the community to the mainstream. Minister Pandey further committed to implement the agreement forged with the Badi community in the past.
Joint Secretaries at the Education Ministry and at the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Welfare, and other government officials stressed the importance of education.
