Kathmandu, July 17:

The Central Joint Struggle Committee (CJSC) of the Nepal Telecom Company Limited (NT) has begun a signature campaign as part of its struggle to create pressure on the government to resume pre-paid mobile phone services. NT has called for applications for new post-paid cellular lines, but the future of 173,000 pre-paid mobile lines is still in limbo. President of Tele-communications Employees’ Association of Nepal, Tanka Lal Shrestha wondered why the government was not saying anything regarding the pre-paid mobile service, which constitutes some 75 per cent of the total lines. The agitating workers’ unions have also put

banners with their demands in all offices in the Valley and at different parts of the nation.
