Student leader arrested from exam centre

Kathmandu, April 28:

President of Baneshwor Campus Unit of Nepal Students’ Union Lok Bahadur Karki was arrested this morning while he was coming out of the Pashupati Multiple Campus after giving the exam. According to Baldev Timilsina, joint secretary of the Free Students’ Union of Pashupati Multiple Campus, Karki was arrested at around 10 am from the campus. Meanwhile, in another report, Guna Raj Acharya, joint secretary of Law Campus and Puspa Pandey of All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) were arrested by the security forces from their campus premises today. RC Lamichhane, primary committee member of RR Campus was also arrested. The ANNFSU in a press release issued here today condemned the arrest of the students and urged the concerned authorities to immediate release them. The students’ organisation demanded clarification for the arrest of the students.
