Students lock CTEVT office

Bhaktapur, August 5:

Agitating students affiliated with Nepal Dental Science Association today padlocked the examination division of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training, saying that their demands were ignored. The students had already padlocked three divisions — curriculum division, polytechnic division and the office of the vice president — to press the CTEVT to implement a cabinet decision to upgrade the one-year-long dental hygiene course to three-year-long.

“We were invited for talks today, but no one turned up till 5 pm, forcing us to resort to lockout,” said NDSA president Michael Devkota.
