Kathmandu, April 17:

All Nepal National Free Students’ Union organised a torch rally from Laganchowk today. The rally was held under the leadership of vice-president Salikram KC which protested against the February 1 Royal move. The students chanted slogans like: “Restoration of democracy for restoration of peace, People the builders of new constitution — the only way of conflict resolution, Respect human rights and Down with regression.” The students also chanted slogans like: “Withdraw the Royal proclamation, Long live democracy and Autocracy is source of terrorism.” The security forces intervened in the meet which led the protesters to disperse. General-secretary Om Prasad Aryal was addressing the corner meet.
