Students protest against cops

Kathmandu, April 28:
The Free Students’ Union committee today halted academic activities in all the campuses to protest against police intervention in various campuses and sought the fulfillment of their six-point demand. According to Kalyan Kumar Gurung, joint general secretary of Nepal Students’ Union, the seven students’ union today organised a protest rally from Bagbazar under the leadership of Ram Kumar Basnet, the vice-president of All Nepal National Free Students’ Union. Students also took out a rally from Dillibazar under the leadership of Tek Raj Poudel, the joint general secretary of Nepal Students’ Union. Another rally was taken out at Lagantol under the leadership of Om Prakash Aryal, the ANNFSU general secretary.
