Students, street kids entertain each other

Kathmandu, August 21:

Street children and schoolchildren shared the same stage and entertained each other by performing various cultural programmes here today. Around 100 street kids and school students from the Saipal Academy and National Children’s School performed on the premises of Sath Sath to mark the 41st National Children’s Day. The street children staged a drama titled ‘Yeuta Katha’, which featured the animated characters like sack and cigarettes. A heated

debate between the positive and negative characters in the drama cautioned the street children at the same time it informed the school children about the struggle for existence on the street. Biso Bajracharya, executive director of the Sath Sath, said, “This is an attempt to bridge the gap between the society and street children.”
