KATHMANDU: Twenty-nine employees of the Department of Foreign Employment were not found in the office when the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority carried out a surprise inspection on Friday.

Spokesperson for the CIAA Krishnahari Pushkar told THT that the CIAA team found many employees absent when it went there following complaints from service seekers about their grievances not being addressed in time.

Pushkar said the CIAA team also found that the department was not serious about addressing the grievances of the service seekers.

He also said that the team had taken some documents from the department under its control to carry out an investigation.
